RICDHH Announces Formation of Executive Director Search Committee

The Rhode Island Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Executive Director search is underway, and the search committee has been established. The committee’s composition includes individuals representing the various constituencies across Rhode Island, such as community members, current and former Commissioners, and more.  

The RICDHH Executive Director search committee members are:

  • David Mullowney, Search Committee Chair
  • Lisa Moss
  • Nancy Maguire Heath 
  • Cassey Ellis
  • Heather Niedbala
  • Kerri Hicks
  • Brett Hayes 

By working together with efficiency and professionalism, these individuals will play a critical role in conducting a fair, thorough, and ultimately successful search for the next leader. Serving on the search committee members is a significant voluntary commitment. We are grateful for their involvement and commitment on behalf of the RICDHH Board of Commissioners and the RI community.

The Rhode Island Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (RICDHH) is an advocating, coordinating, and service-providing entity committed to promoting an environment in which deaf and hard of hearing individuals in Rhode Island are afforded equal opportunity in all aspects of their lives. The RICDHH develops policy; initiates and lobbies for favorable legislation; fosters cooperation and awareness among state agencies and community organizations; and educates and advises consumers, state agencies, and employers about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) rights to equal access. The RICDHH also provides direct services in its operation of a Sign Language Interpreter/CART Referral Service, a lending library of books and videotapes, and as a clearinghouse of information and referral on all topics related to hearing loss.
