Kim Bianco Majeri Selected as Gallaudet University Board of Trustees Liaison

Gallaudet University has announced the selection of Kim Bianco Majeri as the Board of Trustees Liaison. In this role, Ms. Majeri will work with the Board of Trustees, the President’s office, University shared governance entities, and other stakeholders to ensure that Gallaudet University and Clerc Center remain at the forefront of providing a world-class education to students, ensuring that Deaf people around the world have access to language and education and that they are given the tools to thrive.

Kim Bianco Majeri holds a Master of Business Administration from North Park University with an emphasis on Nonprofit Management and a master’s degree from New York University. With this education and over 25 years of experience in nonprofit and corporate settings, advocacy has always been a core principle of her work. Kim brings a wealth of experience to her role, including board work in various roles, leading teams, public speaking, government advocacy, and community organizing. Prior to her role with Gallaudet University, Kim was the State Legislative Affairs Coordinator with the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) and was instrumental in assisting states in passing legislation that advanced the civil, linguistic, and human rights of Deaf individuals.

This announcement comes after an intensive search in which Gallaudet University partnered with a Deaf-owned and led organizational and leadership development consulting firm, Innivee Strategies, Inc.

“On behalf of the Innivee Strategies team, we deeply appreciate Gallaudet University’s trust in our team as we supported their search for the next Board of Trustees Liaison,” said Innivee Strategies CEO Shane Feldman. “We wish Ms. Majeri the best in her new role.”
